Peyronie's disease
Peyronie's disease is
a somber state where the inner tissues of the
organ get converted to scar tissue. Peyronie's
disease was primarily was recognized by a French
doctor Francois de la Peyronie's, who had exposed
the scar tissue that could end up in consequence of curving of the shaft.
As the scar tissue is firm and rigid, it results in penis to bow when it is in the erected state. A sign on the pinnacle of the shaft (most frequent) leads the organ to curve in upward direction; a sign on the underneath leads to curving down wards of the penile tissue. In various cases, the sign extends on both top and bottom, leading to notch and reduction in the size. Even though this curve can occasionally can be painful, the sign itself is non-cancerous and non malignant.
It is furthermore likely that the tissue may be firm at the base, but supple at the top or thin in the middle like an unseen band has been fixed firmly about it.
Dissimilar to hypospadias, which is an mishap at the time of birth, Peyronie’s disease is obtained at some stage in adult hood. It can happen quickly, with no any obvious explanation; a male may wake up one morning with his erection curved over. It distress about 1 percent of men. Most seen cases are of white men within the age group of 38 to 62 years of age.
Weak and poor development
Weak and poor development of the corpora cavernosa (Spongy tissue) is an added reason of bend organ. It comprises of spongy tissue known as corpora cavernosa. If the small aperture in the spongy tissue on one surface of the tissue develops to a slighter degree than that on the other side then the lesser-developed side will have more blood circulation. This improved blood circulation would force the apex over the furthest point of leverage, leading a bent penis.
Restrictive clothing
When young males who put on tight under pants or under wear get erections, their organ is constrained from a common outward enlargement. They often bend their organ over to the side to conceal the embarrassing erection. This affects the growth of the young penile tissue, as blood will flow better from one side as compared to the other side of the spongy tissue and leave the other side unnourished.
Injury
Sharp or recurring injury (hitting or bending) can lead to localized blood loss. This causes fibrin deposition i.e. the scar tissue in the tissue space that receives trauma. Again the injury can lead collagen to be rapt that can lead to pathologic fibrosis i.e. the development of calcium deposits.
Age
With advancement of age, there is a reduced in the flexibility of collagen fibers that are also responsible for the development of the scar tissue.
Other causes
Vaso-active substance injection therapy, Vitamin E deficiency, the use of beta-blocking agents and autoimmune phenomena are the other factors contributing to the bend the male reproductive organ.
